“Nothing gives me more pleasure than playing music, and I want others to find the same joy in developing their skills. My aim with teaching is to help others foster an energetic and enjoyable relationship with their instrument.
I have a great dedicated practise and recording space in Hove that I endeavour to make a comfortable and inspiring space to learn.
Piano has been a lifelong passion of mine, having started when I was 6 years old, reaching my Grade 8 at 16. Having only recently settled in Brighton in the last two years, I am a new teacher at PianoLessonsUK and couldn’t be more excited to be part of the team. I’ve never lived in a more musical city, and I look forward to helping more people participate in that vibrancy!
I’ve played keyboard and piano in a diverse variety of different bands throughout the last few years since graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2014. Over the last year I’ve been lucky enough to play at some great venues round the UK including the Brighton Dome, the 02 Indigo and Hootanannys in Brixton. Currently I play in a Brighton based Neo-soul band called Goldaka.” - Josh Payne
Josh has been teaching for a long time, maintaining a 100% pass rate in the popular ABRSM examinations but can also work with you on other goals. He is trained in how to deliver our games and courses and receives the full support of our teaching network. He has a lovely teaching space and is also a lovely man.
“Josh is wonderful chap. I instantly felt comfortable in his company and coupled with his undoubtable ability you can’t really do much better in terms of finding a piano teacher.” - Kevin Matthews – Director - PLUK
